Meet our six voluntary members who are Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs) collaborating to drive a circular economy in South Africa. These well-established organisations share common goals and expertise across various areas of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), as well as the waste and recycling sectors.

Circular Energy

MetPac-SA is a non-profit Producer Responsibility Organisation driving South Africa’s EPR strategy for metal packaging—promoting recycling, recovery, and a circular economy.


Fibre Circle

Fibre Circle is a government-recognised Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) in South Africa that oversees extended producer responsibility programmes to divert paper and paper packaging waste from landfills and drive circular economy practices.

MetPac-SA

MetPac-SA is a registered Producer Responsibility Organisation in South Africa focused on driving sustainable metal packaging recovery and guiding the metal packaging industry toward a circular economy.

Petco

Petco is a South African Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) established in 2004, which administers Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes for PET packaging—coordinating collection, recycling, value chain support, and design guidance.


Polyco

Polyco is a South African non-profit Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) that oversees the collection and recycling of all types of plastic packaging under the country’s mandatory EPR framework—promoting the reuse of plastic waste through infrastructure investment, innovation, and consumer education.

The Glass Recycling Company

The Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) is South Africa’s registered PRO for glass packaging, promoting collection, recycling, and reuse through glass banks, education, and buy-back support.
